about

Hayley's debut album Independently Blue came out in 2005 to rave reviews and was playlisted on BBC Radio 2 & championed by Bob Harris & Terry Wogan. It was self-financed and released independently before she signed it over to Gut Records in 2005. It was recorded in York and produced by Hayley & Fraser Smith. It features an array of local musicians. It lead to Hayley going on numerous tours and festival appearances such as Glastonbury & it also took her to America for the first time where she played at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas. Hayley then left Gut records after they sold their company and decided to set up her own label Haylo Media which then turned into Desert Mine Music which she runs with her Sorry Kisses bandmate & Nine Black Alps frontman Sam Forrest.
